Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Great thing about reunions .......we all get older together!  In the fall I always had a contest with my first graders to see who could identify me in my Eugene Field 1st grade class picture.....they all seem to think I am Joyce Hill!

Steve and I have been married for 42 years and have 2 wonderful children. Melanie (37) is an accountant in Atlanta. Levi (31) lives in Jackson, Wyoming and is an account for beverage company. I retired from teaching after 20 years of teaching in a large private school In Montgomery. I travel, taken up knitting and do rescue dog transport. Steve and I can’t agree on where to retire. I want seasons, he wants year round golf....opposites attract! We moved to a new house so we’ll be here for awhile.

I was hoping to make it but it looks like I won't be able too. We have put my 93 year father-in-law in the hospital and he has a lot of rehabilitation to go through and my husband & I are the only ones here to take care of him. The rest of his brothers & sister live out of state or city. Right now it is more important to be here. My father in law did have a stroke. My husband now has to get power of attorney to take care of him and make decisions. My husband mother passed away last year. It is not easy losing parents. My mother who lives in Wamego is recovering from breast cancer. We live in Tomball, Texas and I have two wonderful grandsons, Triston 6 years old and Hunter 4 years old. My son and his family live right next door to us, so we get to see them quite often. I am taking Karate with my grandsons. Not doing so bad for my age, I am finding out I am not as young as I use to be. It has been a year since Hurricane Ike and that was pretty scary. We had our big Oak tree come right through our house. Most of the house has been fixed but we still have more to do. Again I am sorry I can make it really wanted too.
I hope the reunion goes well. Time sure does fly by fast.

     (1) Who's the bald dork in glasses hitting on my wife? (2) John Bolton's a taxi driver now? Who's checking the green cards in Kansas City?

Roxanne and I live in Kearney,Nebraska, where I practice medical oncology. Our oldest daughter, Donna (24) will (we hope)receive her Pharm.D next year at K.U. (She still won't be a real doctor though.) Donna is engaged to be married. Our younger daughter, Sally (22), will receive her R.N. degree next month at K.U.M.C. in Kansas City. With a great sense of comic timing, after we've paid 10 academic years of out of state tuition K.U. is instituting a program of discounts for children of out of state alumni. Our son, Sam (14) will graduate from middle school next month. (Parenthetically, we're sure glad they've replaced the beknighted junior high schools of our day with middle schools. Academic achievement seems to have skyrocketed as a result.)

Are we really this old?  I would like to be there for the Reunion, but that will depend on my work schedule. Thanks to all of you who have spent long hours putting this together.  For the past 32 years I have been living in the Boston area. After 32 years with the airlines I retired four and a half years ago. For 17 years, and on a part time basis, I ran tours as a Tour Director to over 65 countries around the world.  I now am flying for a Corporate Aircraft Company and have been with them since Jan of 2005.

2014 Update
Hello again everyone. Once again my flight schedule will not allow me to attend the reunion. Thanks to everyone who has put this together and all of your hard work in doing so. I am still in the Boston area since 1978 and for the past 10 years since retiring from the airlines have been flying as a Flight attendant for a corporate aircraft company. I plan on retiring in three years when the big 66 happenens.I think 45 years of flying is enough and am looking forward to it. Ruy and I have been spending our time off traveling the world as much as we can for as long as we can. Again have a great time together and will be thinking of you.

2017 Update

In Jan of 2015 Ruy and I decided it was time to leave the snow and cold of Boston and move West. We decided on Seattle for our new home. We have been here for two years and have enjoyed what Seattle has to offer. Both of us are still flying Corporate for NetJets. Being in Seattle we see a lot of Asia which we like . I am looking to retire the end of this December.

It is 2021 and we can say we survived the pandemic so far. I retired from Corporate Flying in Jan after 47 years of being a Flight Attendant. With that we decided to move South to sunny weather all year long in Palm Springs California. We have many TWA and United friends here which made the transition so easy. We loved Seattle the 6 years we were there but were ready for the sun. Now like most of you here is to retirement.

I have been living in the St. Louis area since 1979, teaching, traveling a little, gardening, enjoying our 4 children and now twin grandchildren! Our youngest daughter just got married this May and we are busy with summer activities- we are sorry we won't be able to attend the 40th Reunion but we have an out-of town family wedding that weekend. We'll try next reunion! Enjoy the fun and we'll hope to hear about all the details! Thanks to the committee for all their hard work- it looks wonderful!

We had hoped to attend the Reunion since we live in Manhattan but a niece chose this weekend to be married in Florida so we will be unable to join everyone in the festivities!  We'll be looking for all those fabulous pictures!  We'll plan to attend the 45th!

I moved back to Manhattan in the summer of 2000 to take a teaching job at Manhattan High School-Spanish. I will begin my 10th year at good old MHS this fall. Two years ago I lessened my classroom load from 6 classes to 3 and have taken on an Instructional Facilitator position at MHS. I am enjoying the change very much, I get to observe all teaching content areas and teaching styles.
Our oldest daughter,Melanie is a teacher, she and her husband live in Jacksonville, FL. Our middle daughter Janice is a nurse, she and her husband are hoping to relocate this year, also to Jacksonville, FL. They have a darling 2 year old son and are expecting another son in November. Our son Phillip is in his last year at KSU. He is majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He will finish his coursework this fall and do an internship in the spring. He will graduate in May 2010.
I enjoy traveling, gardening and most of all spending time with our family! Kent and I keep very busy here at our farm on Deep Creek Road! Give us a call or drop by and see us if you are in the area!
