Now a brief Joe Reichle update:
I've been working as a Professor in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the University of Minnesota for the past 32 years. I teach and am involved in grant collaborations involving the Center for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, and Bureau of Child and Maternal Health. I'm also beginning a phased retirement over the next couple of years.Yea!
My wife and I have been married for 36 years and we have two grown children Chris who is a civil engineer in Columbus Ohio and Megan who lives in the Twin Cities and recently got married.
I'm looking forward to October 2014 if for no other reason just to spend a bit of time attempting to give George Bascom and Jon Faubion a hard time.
Please give my best to folks on the committee.

Fool truth-out.org/ Committed Relationship Nancy Zwieback 2014-08-29 13:22:02
After 40 years I feel irrationally compelled to account for my existence since high school. Throughout life I've been more focused on independence and freedom rather than family or career (not that they are mutually exclusive). Correspondingly, although in a long term relationship, I've never been married or had children. I hit the road after high school on numerous solo hitchhiking trips exploring North America. During those years I logged in over 20,000 miles by thumb and actually lived to tell the tale. After these adventures, there was a natural evolution into independent international travel. I've now taken extended tours of Europe, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, India, and Nepal. During this time I was also an avid backpacker, often hiking more than 100 miles a summer pounding the trails of the American West, Appalachia, Alaska, Canada, and Nepal. These activities were supplemented by my interest in knowledge and the exploration of consciousness. I practiced Transcendental Meditation for 30 years...teaching "TM" several of those years. Eventually I graduated from K-State with a liberal arts degree which was essential in establishing an illustrious "career" as a security guard at the University of Washington art museum in Seattle. While my worldview often finds me lamenting the human condition, my personal lifestyle is more comfortable than I deserve given my modest financial achievements. We travel when we can (no more hitchhiking!), take long walks in the woods around our home on beautiful Puget Sound, and try to embrace the "good life"...whatever and wherever it may be.

So it goes...

Hospital Consultant Committed Relationship 2 Greg The last five years I've been living in Lakewood, Colorado in a townhome near Red Rocks amphitheatre. I left my job at Denver Health Medical Center almost 2 years ago to work for a consulting company based out of California. The great part is that I work from home most of the time but the bad part is that I also have to travel more than I'd like to. My big news is that I'm getting married to my "significant other" Greg! He is a VP in a small mountain hospital in Salida, Colorado. It's beautiful up there and we love to hike, walk the dogs, and ride ATVs. My boys are 32 and 34 now and I have 3 absolutely wonderful grandkids - Cameron (14), Hailey (5) and Ethan (3). Greg has 2 children with 2 grandkids so between all of them, we keep very busy. Have enjoyed being in touch with some of you through Facebook. Did you know there is a facebook group for the Eugene Field Unicorns?? Yes - I'm serious - you Eugene Fielders should join it!! Thanks to all of you that worked so hard on the Reunion Committee - I am so impressed with all that you do. Would love to hear from any of my classmates. My mother lives at Meadowlark in Manhattan and I know that some of you also have parents there so maybe we'll run into each other there sometime. Miss you all and hope to see you at the 45th if not before!!! For those of you that knew Mark Eaton, please give Lyanne a hug and have a toast to Mark for me! 2012-08-06 15:12:25
I'm extremely disappointed that I'm going to miss the reunion this year. Had planned on coming but work is keeping me away after all, with a business trip to California.  I'll be thinking of you all on Friday and Saturday, wishing I was there - I know you'll have a blast.  Send Linda a MessageSend Linda a Message

retired-mostly Married Retired from the National Park Service in 2007 after a career that included 5 years as a fire fighter, 8 as a park ranger and 12+ years as an investigator. Got to work in Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley, Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Glen Canyon, and other great places. Been married for 18 years to Nancy who was a ranger/paramedic when we met, but is now a RN. We live in the mountains of Arizona where I work part time on the local Cold Case Squad. The NOW picture is from a recent news paper article about the squad. I'm the guy on the left but I looked more like the guy in back in MHS. I'm also doing some photography and long distance running. 2012-08-06 14:53:06
This is my first reunion. I miss the MHS pizza to this day, but I sure got my fill of raisins by 1969. Send Joe a MessageSend Joe a Message
